WELCOME ABOARD THE MERCHANT MARINE/MERCHANT NAVY/SHIPPING PAGE!
This page is dedicated to the Merchant Seamen - those unsung heroes who constantly sail the restless seven seas like modern day Flying Dutchmen, ever on the move. These are men who man the ships that move the commerce of the world:
That flashy Honda CR-V you zip around town in and the crude oil that provides the gasoline to power it. The Samsung microwave you used to heat your lunch or the computer you're using to read this web site. The bottle of Beaujolais or Perrier that you had with dinner tonight. The newsprint for your Sunday paper and the ink it's printed with...
Most of these, and a whole lot more, came to you on ships: big ships; little ships; all kinds of ships: Container Ships, Bulk Carriers, Car Carriers, Woodchip Carriers, Crude Oil Tankers, Sugar Boats, Refrigerated Fruiters, and just plain Tramp Steamers carrying any cargo that comes to hand.

Each of the following pages contains a photo of the ship, and a short descriptive history. (Some of the ships may be slightly distorted because of the nature of the glass bottle.)
NCC 1701 ENTERPRISE ,Constitution Class Starship (Yes, I know, all the purists will agree that a SciFi Starship is not really a "motor ship" but as this is the only version I've built, it doesn't warrent a special, Starship Gallery... :)
