MINOTAUR
Ketch-rigged Yacht - Brisbane, Australia

Minotaur Photo

The Minotaur is a ketch-rigged version of Australian naval architect Bruce Robert's 35 foot design. Designed specially for the home builder, the Roberts 35 may be constructed with either a fiberglass or plywood hull.

The yacht may also be, if the builder wishes, built as a single-masted sloop with aft cockpit instead of a center cockpit. The ketch-rig is, according to Roberts, recommended for family cruising, while the sloop rig version is suggested as a racer.

Chianti bottles are great for Bermuda-rigged yachts. With their balloon profile there is plenty of room for that towering Bermuda mast.
