Scale Reproductions Logo

      UPDATE: Effective December 10th., 2004.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, I will be closing the shipyard as soon as I complete the three ships currently on the ways.

This is regrettable and completely unexpected as I had always assumed that I would still be building ships for a few more years.

I intend to keep the web site up and running for the time being and if, at some future point, I can resume commissions, I will.

       Cheers,
             David

A Note on Pricing

Price increases with the scale and complexity of the model. From receipt of commission at least six to eight weeks should be allowed (depending on my work load) to give the sea a chance to harden before shipping. A longer time must be allowed for if special plans or research are needed.

Quoted price depends upon availability of plans and/or photos. Price increases if research has to be undertaken to obtain plans. It does not include the purchase of plans. If plans have to be purchased this will be added to the price. Shipping, insurance, and customs fees are the responsibility of the purchaser. Prices quoted are in U. S. funds.

Each ship comes, signed with engraved hull number and date, complete with a suitable hand-rubbed wooden stand .

PLEASE NOTE: All ships are custom-built on commission, and can take up to 100 hours or more to complete. No stock is carried.

NOTICE:
05/11/03 Unfortunately, my e-mail woes continue... And I am at my wits end...
I can usually expect a few e-mails off my web site over the period of a month. However, I have had no e-mails coming off this web site for the past 30 days. As a result I am forced to assume that the mail.com address is being blocked somehow - both ways. If you have written to me either within, or before, that time and I have not replied, please assume that I never received the message. Your comments:

The inclusion of photos, if a custom order, greatly enhances the accuracy, and cuts the cost of the model. If the photos are family heirlooms, it is suggested that copies, or jpgs via e-mail, be sent to avoid possible loss in the mail. The greatest care will be taken to ensure their safe return. If your ship is a custom yacht or cabin cruiser, the ship can be built from clear photos taken from the following angles: Bow on; stern on; port beam on, starboard beam on. Photos taken at right angles to the ship provide a more accurate reference to work from.

Ball .gifSufficient time should be allowed if this ship is for a retirement or other occasion presentation. Please allow at least 6 weeks from my receipt of first payment for the sea to properly harden before shipment.
Ball .gifShipped via: Express Post Air, insured. A quotation for shipping and insurance will be included with your quote..
