This version of the Titanic was commissioned as a retirement presentation for the retiring head of the board of directors of a large corporation. His grandparents were scheduled to sail on board the original Titanic but for some unknown reason changed their plans and never sailed.

Naturally, the model was a great success. The recipient was speechless when it was presented and everyone who came into his suite during the annual meeting just had to be escorted over to see the famous ship, sailing once again across a putty sea.

To date this model of RMS Titanic has logged more miles than the original liner, criss-crossing the continent several times. First by air to Colorado, where the General Manager’s Executive Assistant took it under her care, then off to the annual board of directors meeting in San Diego, California. From there it crossed the continent once more, to its new home to Tennessee.
